Prior to the COVID shutdowns, we hosted the number one Airbnb ukulele experience in Hawaii from our beautiful little ukulele shop and entertainment venue, Hanalei Strings, on the north shore of the garden island of Kauai.
Kirk Smart, who will be hosting lessons, is a world-renowned musician who has played or or recorded with many well-known artists such as Jason Mraz, Donovan Frankenrieiter, Donald Fagen, Graham Nash, and more. We are finally ready to start our in-person group ukulele lessons back up and turn you into an ukulele player capable of playing 10,000 songs! Really! As a graduate and teacher of the esteemed Musicians Institute of Los Angeles, Kirk has an understanding of music that is hard to parallel. This allows him to demystify the world of music in a clear and very entertaining way, giving you the tools and inspiration to start playing ukulele today.
