This beautiful heirloom ukulele, made in Kauaʻi, Hawaii, is named after the famous song "Hanalei Moon" written in 1974 by Bob Nelson and was popularized by Don Ho and Dennis Pavao, to name only a few. This solid Kauaʻi koa tonewood ukulele is embellished with mother of pearl depicting the moon behind the majestic Mount Makana (known as Bali Hai in the 1958 film South Pacific) on the edge of Hanalei Bay, with waves of mother of pearl around the sound hole and down the ebony fretboard, depicting the famous Hanalei Pier. A mahogany neck, handmade nut and saddle crafted from the highest quality modern material, and Aquila strings provide smooth playability, while the Low G string setup highlights the rich low end of the koa tonewood.
